Our Story
Our story began in 1972, when our parents, Dale and Carol Hoffman, began renting their first farm in Snyder County, Pennsylvania, starting out with just 16 cows, a tractor, a manure spreader, and a $15,000 loan.
In 1976, they made the bold decision to relocate our young family, purchasing a 400-acre farm located in the rolling hills of Potter County. We have been farming the same land ever since.
Over the years, we have expanded our herd sixteen fold. In 1998, we constructed a state-of-the-art free-stall facility to house our growing herd.
In 2014, Dale and Carol handed the reins over to the next generation - the farm is now owned and managed by Keith, Brad, Trish and Josh Hoffman. The farm is very much a family affair; three generations of the Hoffman family are involved in day to day operations.
We currently milk around 800 dairy cows (three times daily), producing approximately 26,645,000 lbs of milk annually, which is equivalent to the amount of liquid milk consumed by 182,500 Americans each year.
In addition to our dairy operation, we also raise beef, pigs and chickens, harvest our own maple syrup, and grow our own vegetables.
